[Research] Difference between front loader& Top loader

▶Top loader
  •  Wash with the pressure of water (30℃) while the wings rotate inside of the machine.
  • Has disadvantage of clothes tangling together.
  • Often used in Asia.

▶Front loader
  • Washes with the gravity of water and clothes when the tumbler rotates like a wheel.
  • No tangle between clothes
  • Long time wash
  • Needs approx. 60℃ of warm/ hot water to wash- heater system included -> more energy & expensive than top loader
  • Advantage of using less water

Comparison

▶ After wash, qulities are equal for both machines.

▶Front loader needs approx. 9 times more electric energy than top loader. However, it needs half amount of water than the top loader.

▶Front loader needs 23L of water for1kg of clothes while top loader needs 43L.

▶ Noise of washing mode- Front loader had 49dB of noise which was 2dB higher than the top loader. And noise of drying mode, front loader had 58dB(55∼61dB), 2hB higher than the top loader.
